Atlantis The Royal is not only the world's most expensive, at $100,000 a night, but a stunning resort with a helipad, fire-spitting fountains and the world's largest jellyfish tank.

Atlantis The Royal, located on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, has celebrated its first anniversary, establishing itself as the most expensive and luxurious hotel in the world.

The hotel complex, consisting of six interconnected towers, officially opened its doors in January 2023. The construction of this majestic masterpiece involved an investment of nearly $1.4 billion. Just a year later, it has established itself not only as an architectural landmark but also as a benchmark in the high-end hotel industry.

This majestic resort, standing 43 stories tall and reaching a height of 178 metres, features 795 rooms, suites, and exclusive penthouses. The resort offers a variety of accommodations, including 44 suites with private infinity pools, all boasting stunning views of the Dubai skyline and the Arabian Sea.

Atlantis The Royal is home to one of the largest jellyfish tanks in the world, housing 4,000 jellyfish, and the Skyblaze fountain, the region’s first water and fire show. The AWAKEN spa and wellness centre spans 5,045 square metres, offering holistic treatments, a six-room hammam, and an endless variety of experiences.

Additionally, the hotel has become an unparalleled culinary destination, with 17 restaurants and bars offering an unmatched gastronomic diversity. Some of the most notable include: Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, which offers an avant-garde take on British cuisine under the direction of the chef Heston Blumenthal; Ling Ling by Hakkasan, a contemporary Asian gastronomic experience in an exclusive ambiance; Nobu by the Beach, offering inventive Japanese-Peruvian bites by the sea, helmed by the acclaimed chef. Additionally, Nobu by the Beach is the first beach club and pool of the renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa, that allows guests to enjoy fresh sushi and cocktails while relaxing by the water.

The crown jewel is the Royal Mansion, the most exclusive suite in the hotel, which costs $100,000 (370,000 dirhams) per night. This two-level duplex suite with four bedrooms can accommodate up to nine people, and each bathroom is equipped with Hermès products. The suite also features a private sauna, a 500-square-meter terrace overlooking the Arabian Sea, and a temperature-controlled infinity pool.

It was precisely in this suite where Beyoncé stayed in early 2023, on the occasion of a private concert to commemorate the opening of the new hotel. Among the 1,500 attendees were rapper Jay-Z, model Kendall Jenner and other celebrities.
