‘Since the opening of the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid (when the international management of the Mandarin chain chose The Beauty Concept as the company to manage the wellness and fitness area of the iconic Madrid hotel), it has been nothing but good news for us,’ acknowledges Paz Torralba, director of The Beauty Concept.
This week, the prestigious World Spa Awards recognised The Beauty Concept spa at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid as the best hotel spa, adding to the many accolades it has received since its inception. What’s more, this news coincides with the 20th anniversary of The Beauty Concept, when on 21 September 2025 Paz Torralba opened her first centre after leaving a prestigious career in private banking.
‘We have clients who come from the United States or Mexico to be treated by us, and many who stay at the hotel are also familiar with our aesthetic medicine services. We have created a bridge between the hotel and the centres so that we can offer a 360° service,’ explains Paz Torralba, director of The Beauty Concept.
‘In recent years, we have experienced enormous growth in external customers, both city residents—who are already very loyal—and those who come from other hotels seeking The Beauty Concept’s services,’ explains Paz Torralba.
“We have created protocols that provide a unique and unforgettable experience, which we have noticed over the years in those who arrive in Madrid tired, with changes in schedules and needs that cannot be met in their place of residence due to scheduling or other issues,” explains Paz Torralba, director of The Beauty Concept, who does not forget how much the demand for couples’ treatments has grown. These treatments are carried out in the double suite that the spa has on the first floor, with direct and private access.
‘Since the hotel opened, we have maintained a very high standard of beauty treatments in partnership with brands such as Biologique Recherche, CellCosmet and Nescens. We also promote the hairdressing and make-up services offered at our TBC Hair salon with our own TBC chauffeur service, which picks up clients from the hotel and takes them to our centres in Ortega y Gasset when they request cosmetic medicine or beauty treatment services.’
