Elie Saab and H&M: The Romance of Dressing for a Night

Elie Saab’s universe meets H&M through lace, shimmering details and silhouettes that evoke the emotion of dressing for a night that will remain in memory.

Some garments seem to hold the memory of a night that has yet to happen. Lace that reveals a glimpse of skin, sequins that change under the light, the way a dress falls with the very first step.

This language finds a new expression in the collaboration between the Lebanese fashion house and H&M. The collection brings together evening gowns, shimmering pieces and tailored designs, featuring delicate lace, gradient sequins and monograms that reflect the house’s signature codes. Among these details lies a vision of elegance in which embellishment follows movement and light becomes part of the garment itself.

The story begins in Beirut. It was there that Elie Saab first gained recognition for his bridal creations, designing garments destined to become part of the memories of those who wore them. His subsequent admission as one of the first international members of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in France opened a new chapter in a career that would eventually find its place on the red carpets of some of the world’s most celebrated events.

A sensitivity to the composition of embellishments and the balance between a silhouette and its smallest details runs throughout the H&M collection, where evening gowns coexist with separates and the precision of tailoring.

The contrast between these pieces invites us to imagine different gestures of dressing: the pause before fastening a jacket, the choice of a pair of shoes, the shimmer that appears with every turn. Lace and sequins bring texture to this small ritual, while the clean lines of tailoring introduce a more understated elegance.

Saab explains that each piece is conceived as part of a wardrobe designed to accompany different moments in a woman’s life. Within those words remains a connection to his beginnings: an attention to the person who will wear the garment and to what, over time, that piece will come to mean to her.

The collection is scheduled to launch on October 22, 2026, in selected stores across Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt, as well as online. The collection brings the romanticism that has defined the fashion house since its beginnings in Beirut into this new setting.
