Racing For Charity the Porsche initiative at Le Mans

The Porsche Team will present three Porsche 963s in stunning livery at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 10 and 11

The initiative’s designs pay homage to historically significant motorsport colors and thus combine the celebrations of 75 years of Porsche sports cars and 100 years of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In addition, the new hybrid prototypes will be racing for a good cause: for each race lap, Porsche will donate 750 euros, in line with the 75th anniversary of Porsche sports cars. After the highlight of the race at Le Mans, all proceeds will go to help seriously ill children around the world.

The “Racing for Charity” initiative is part of Porsche’s broad social commitment.
Porsche considers itself a responsible partner in the partnership. With the newly launched “Racing for Charity” initiative, Porsche is expanding its extensive social commitment. Following the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the donated funds will be distributed among three organizations: Kinderherzen retten e.V., Interplast Germany e.V. and the Ferry Porsche Foundation. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the best cars in the hypercar category will drive up to 380 laps of the 13.626-kilometer 24 Hours Circuit. Under ideal circumstances, the three Porsche Penske Motorsport cars could run a total of 1,140 laps.

The Ferry Porsche Foundation was established in May 2018 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Porsche brand. Thanks to donations from Racing for Charity, some of the burden on seriously ill children and their families will be alleviated so that they can enjoy lighter moments.

Porsche is involved in numerous charitable initiatives and focuses on sustainable projects in five main areas: sport, culture, environment and social affairs, as well as education and science. In 2022, more than 150 sponsorship projects were supported worldwide In this way, Porsche is helping to shape the future of society and also aims to set benchmarks in this area.
