Major brands celebrate Chinese New Year

Las grandes marcas se unen a la comunidad china para celebrar el año del conejo de agua con colecciones limitadas

Gucci, Dior, Fendi or Valentino are some of the brands celebrating the Chinese New Year this January 22, 2023. China celebrates its new year following the lunar phases and without following the Gregorian calendar we are used to. For this reason, it is celebrated on a different date each year.

Major brands welcome this event with limited collections that are available during these special dates for the Chinese community. These collections are dominated by the color red, the tone with which they welcome the new year and the animal and element that corresponds, this year it is the turn of the water rabbit.

Dior’s watchmaking team has also joined the celebration, with a limited edition of 88 pieces to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Named ‘Grand Soir Year of the Rabbit’, this watch is characterized by the gold animal jumping in a landscape of the mythical ‘Toile de Jouy’ in relief.

The Italian fashion house Fendi, has reinterpreted its logo for the ‘Lunar New Year’ collection with a chromatic incursion of the color red. Ready-to-wear items, bags and accessories for women are gathered in this collection.

Valentinohomages Chinese culture for the relevance of the color red for the brand and is materialized in the capsule ‘Valentino Rosso Toile Iconographe’. A line in honor of the Lunar New Year featuring exclusive garments and accessories.

Gucci has also created a whole collection changing its distinguished monogram for rabbits in its garments and accessories.
