The second edition of ART IN PLACE will be held from 2 to 5 October 2025 at the Palacio de Santa Bárbara in Madrid, a building with a rationalist design and Gothic elements, dating back to 1866. The fair occupies 450 square metres distributed across six rooms and stands out for presenting the works in a context that mimics a collector’s home, integrating art, design and interior design. In this edition, paper takes centre stage, featuring in sculptures, drawings, photographs, collages and paintings.
ART IN PLACE 2025 brings together artists, designers, gallery owners, collectors and art lovers in a dynamic space that goes beyond the traditional exhibition. The exhibition presents a wide variety of pieces, from furniture and ceramics to paintings and sculptures, offering visitors a hands-on and immersive experience, where art is integrated into everyday life. The pieces on display explore a fusion between art and design, reflecting current trends in interior design and collecting.
The fair features more than forty artists and firms, including names such as Francis Bacon, Erwin Olaf, José María Sicilia, Eduardo Chillida, and designers such as Xavier Mascaró, among others. In addition, ART IN PLACE incorporates a programme of activities that includes guided tours, meetings with creators, meals for collectors, wine tastings, and exclusive presentations, adding an experiential and cultural component to the event.
The Palacio de Santa Bárbara, located in the centre of Madrid, provides a unique and functional architectural setting for the fair. The creation of environments that blend classic and modern elements allows visitors to imagine how these pieces of art and design could be integrated into a real living space. This edition reaffirms ART IN PLACE’s proposal to redefine the concept of the traditional fair by presenting art in everyday contexts.
Organised by Art Fairs, Too Many Friends and Aluz, the fair seeks to connect different creative disciplines in an open dialogue, where history and innovation converge. ART IN PLACE 2025 is thus establishing itself as a benchmark for the art and luxury sector, highlighting the integration of unique pieces in spaces that evoke a lifestyle based on collecting and aesthetic functionality. General admission is €10 and reduced admission is €5.
Opening hours will be Thursday 2 October from 11:00 to 19:00, Friday 3 until 20:00, Saturday 4 until 21:00 and Sunday 5 until 18:00, offering opportunities for specialists and enthusiasts to enjoy an exhibition that promotes the coexistence of art and everyday life.
