Oitoemponto will once again take on the creative direction of the Lisbon Art & Antiques Fair 2026, one of Portugal’s leading events for art, antiques and collecting. The fair will take place from 9 to 17 May at the Cordoaria Nacional in Lisbon.
The studio, founded in Porto in 1993 by Artur Miranda and Jacques Bec, will be responsible for the curatorial direction of this edition, as well as the layout and design of the exhibition. Their involvement reinforces the relationship between interior design, art and heritage within the LAAF 2026 programme.
In addition to its role in the fair’s overall conception, Oitoemponto will present its own space at stand 35 under the title “Happy 80’s”. The exhibition brings together a selection of pieces linked to the visual language of the 1980s and the creative energy that characterised that decade.
The studio’s participation in LAAF 2026 is part of a track record associated with high-end interior design, craftsmanship and bespoke work. Miranda and Bec have carried out projects in various international markets and define their approach to design through the creation of spaces imbued with memory, context and a connection to those who inhabit them.
Through this collaboration, LAAF 2026 incorporates the vision of a studio that has worked on residential, hospitality and heritage projects, including the renovation of the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz in Lisbon. Their return to the creative direction of the fair positions interior design as part of the dialogue between art, antiques and contemporary material culture.
