Isabel Sanchis presents her Spring-Summer 2026 collection at MBFW Madrid

Last Friday in Madrid, the Valencian firm unveiled a proposal inspired by Japanese architecture and culture.

The Isabel Sanchis fashion house participated in the latest edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid with the presentation of its Spring-Summer 2026 collection. The show, held on Friday 19 September, brought together a collection that explored the links between Japanese architecture and culture, with a repertoire of pieces that alternated between tradition and modernity.

The collection, creatively directed by Isabel Sanchis and her daughter Paula Maiques, was built on two axes: architectural volumes and the coexistence of opposing values in Japanese aesthetics. The catwalk featured flowing dresses and ready-to-wear pieces in shades of green, orange and soft pink, as well as handcrafted micro pleats and fabrics with embroidery inspired by Japanese ash trees and murals.

The final section of the show was dominated by black and white, the brand’s signature colours. These pieces stood out for their volumes and innovative techniques, with geometric embroidery, seamless moulded dresses and the use of 3D printing on both flowers and silicone garments. The collection thus combined traditional processes with cutting-edge technology.

International career

Isabel Sanchis founded the firm in Valencia in 1990 after opening her first workshop as a teenager. Since then, the brand has consolidated its presence in the domestic and international markets through specialised boutiques and its participation in leading events such as Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid and various showrooms in New York and Paris. In the French capital, the firm organises a private space at the Ritz Hotel each season, where it presents its collections to international clients and buyers.

The company maintains its headquarters and workshop in Benaguasil, Valencia, with a team of 50 professionals dedicated to the design and manufacture of all its collections. There, production processes are developed that combine traditional techniques and contemporary applications, with the aim of offering a personalised service for each client.

Awards and recognition

The firm has received numerous awards in the field of fashion, including the Dedal de Oro in 2015 and 2017, the Tendencias Award in 2019, recognition for the best collection and designer by L’Oréal Paris at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid in 2023 and 2024, as well as the award for best wedding dress at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week in 2025.
