Clive Christian presents “Strange Heavens Out Of The Blue”, a fragrance inspired by the world of Oscar Wilde

The British brand’s latest creation features an artistic collaboration with Domingo Zapata and forms part of the Addictive Arts collection

The British house Clive Christian has unveiled “Strange Heavens Out Of The Blue”, a new fragrance that draws inspiration from the literary imagination of Oscar Wilde and his work The Picture of Dorian Gray.

The creation is inspired by the duality present in the author’s work, translating concepts such as the tension between innocence and desire, or between light and shadow, into the language of scent. The fragrance evokes scenes associated with Wilde’s narrative, in which emotional and sensory states are explored through contrasts.

The launch also features a collaboration with contemporary artist Domingo Zapata, who has contributed to the bottle’s design with his signature panda motif. This element introduces an artistic dimension to the whole, transforming the bottle into a collector’s item.

From an olfactory perspective, the composition is built around an opening featuring notes of coffee, aniseed and pink berries; a heart blending jasmine and orange blossom; and a base combining cocoa, vanilla and smoky undertones.

“Strange Heavens Out Of The Blue” forms part of the Addictive Arts collection, a line from the brand that explores the relationship between literature, emotion and perfumery through compositions inspired by renowned authors and works.

The launch is part of Clive Christian’s history, which dates back to the acquisition of Crown Perfumery Company in 1999, and which continues to develop new offerings within the niche perfumery segment.

The fragrance is available in a 50 ml bottle, consolidating the brand’s presence in the international high-end perfumery market.
