Claridge’s, located in London’s Mayfair district, has unveiled its 2025 Christmas tree, designed this year by Daniel Lee, Creative Director of Burberry. The piece, installed in the hotel’s Art Deco lobby, stands approximately 4.9 meters tall and brings together two British names in a proposal focused on tradition and craftsmanship.
The tree incorporates bows made from Burberry fabric surplus, a nod to Victorian symbols of union. The composition includes wild foliage and thistles, Scotland’s national flower, in reference to the house’s connection to the Highlands. Brass bells inspired by the Equestrian Knight Design and blown glass balls complete the ensemble, crowned by a golden piece. At the base are large-format chess pieces and cushions that create a scene designed for visitor interaction.

Claridge’s general manager Thomas Kochs highlighted the hotel’s relationship with the designer and the significance of the tree as the start of the festive season. Daniel Lee said he conceived the project as an opportunity to celebrate tradition and the idea of community through color and texture.
Burberry has also opened a pop-up store on the ground floor of the hotel. The space brings together a selection of outerwear and accessories, including a Scarf Bar with cashmere and silk designs in different colors and prints, along with gift-ready pieces ranging from trench coats to leather goods.
The Claridge’s Christmas Tree 2025 will remain on display until January 4, marking the start of the Christmas season for guests and visitors to the capital.
