This year, among the various luxury brands that presented their jewelry, Dior stood out with its Dearest Dior collection of seventy-seven extraordinary creations inspired by haute couture. The Dior Joaillerie Artistic Director, Victoire de Castellaneand his team have created new jewelry techniques, such as the gold mesh sheetsThe lace remains as light as air despite being made of precious metals and covered with sparkling natural diamonds.
In this collection, gold frames are kept to a minimum so that the jewelry sits as close to the skin as possible. The vibrant gemstones, often set in lacquered gold, are arranged with such skill that they appear to move over the skin with the ease of a ribbon.
One of the highlights of the presentation is the Dearest Dior bracelet, which uses a combination of rose gold and white diamonds. In the center of the bracelet is a beautiful cushion-cut diamond. It sits on a golden filigree motif dotted with diamonds. They are surrounded by two rows of diamonds: a row of round brilliant-cut diamonds flanked by marquise-cut diamonds out of setting, which gives a crown effect to the piece. Ornate goldwork encircles the sides of the wrist and leads to a diamond-set bracelet. This High Jewelry piece can be combined with a matching necklace, ring and earrings.
