“The Walking Story” is a treasure hunt that evokes the atmosphere of the city between the 1930s and 1950s through a strong temporal thread and reveals the indissoluble link between Ferragamo, its Founder and Florence through significant locations.
The Ferragamo boutique, the Column of Plenty, the Fountain of Neptune, the Lungarno Archibusieri, the Ponte Vecchio and the Piazzetta Salvatore and Wanda Ferragamo are the six stages that make up the itinerary, which winds in a circle. These stages allow the user to experience an unparalleled urban journey, while fostering an interactive relationship with the brand.
Along the way, there are some signs linked to iconic Salvatore designs – such as the Rainbow sandal dedicated to Judy Garland, the Invisibile sandal or the red crystal-embellished pumps made for Marylin Monroe – but there is also the Gold sandal – interpreted by Maximilian Davis for the Autumn-Winter 2023 collection – as well as tasks to solve and fascinating audios with stories based on significant characters in the life of the Shoemaker of Dreams.
The experience has a physical character and is supported by a web application that can be activated via a QR code present in the shop windows of the boutique in Via de’ Tornabuoni 14/r.
