Serapian Milano has presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, The Sunrise of Mestieri d’Arte, at Villa Mozart, designed by Piero Portaluppi and the brand’s historic headquarters. The collection celebrates Milanese craftsmanship through a proposal that combines colour, materiality and innovation, reaffirming the Maison’s commitment to mestieri d’arte and manual excellence.
The project continues the collaboration between Serapian and British designer Bethan Laura Wood, which began with the Mosaico Bokashi Landscape Paravent, presented at the Salone del Mobile 2025 as part of the Doppia Firma exhibition sponsored by the Michelangelo Foundation. In this new phase, Wood reinterprets Serapian’s visual and technical codes, bringing her vision of the interaction between light, colour and form.
The collection reimagines iconic models such as the Secret, Mini Secret and Anì bags, which take on a new chromatic identity. Shades of blue, pink, off-white and ice are combined in a Chiaroscuro pattern inspired by Japanese ukiyo-e prints. Each piece is crafted using the Mosaico technique, a symbol of the brand since 1947, which consists of interweaving fine strips of hand-cut leather, ensuring the uniqueness of each creation.

The proposal also includes a detachable two-tone strap in pink and white, compatible with the different Serapian models, and a unisex travel bag in natural tones such as olive green and warm brown, which expands the style options within the collection.
Among the new additions is the Maro bag, a new addition to the Alta Pelletteria line, named after a member of the Serapian family. Its design, characterised by a knotted nappa leather strap on the sides, is available in maxi tote, medium tote, mini handbag and crossbody formats. The new shades—indigo, aqua, blush, sand and antique pink—blend with the brand’s classic colours, providing a contemporary take on artisanal luxury.

The Mosaico line is expanded with the Mosaico Ribbon version, which incorporates cotton ribbons to create a three-dimensional texture, while the Microchain series introduces fine metal chains that add a subtle shine. The Secret bag comes in variations that combine materials such as raffia crochet and denim, exploring new forms of artisanal expression. The Canvas Chiaroscuro line is complemented by a matching beach towel.

For men, the Stepan collection has been revamped with asphalt-coloured cotton canvas fabric, enhanced with off-white, beige and leaf green cashmere leather details, along with a version made entirely of green leather.
The presentation of the collection is accompanied by an art installation conceived by Bethan Laura Wood, inspired by the microscopic structures that make up the natural world. The exhibition space recreates a visual laboratory in which the bags appear to be suspended in the air above modular plinths made from Pietro Viero sculptural glass and Murano pieces by Barbini Specchi. This travelling exhibition will first be shown in Milan before travelling to Serapian boutiques around the world.
Bethan Laura Wood describes the project as ‘a journey through the Bokashi landscape, where shapes evoke clouds, light reflections and molecular structures’. For his part, Maxime Bohé, CEO of Serapian, defines the collection as ‘a contemporary laboratory of craftsmanship that combines innovation and tradition’.
