Restaurants and hotels for a luxury Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner, so we compile the restaurants and hotels with the most special menus to celebrate Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve party in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.

SLVJ Group

Pioneers in dinner shows, Grupo SLVJ has created different menus to celebrate the most magical time of the year surrounded by its characteristic wild aesthetics, dominated by its giant rhinoceroses and its fun atmosphere. To celebrate this holiday season, SLVJ has created some proposals to live an experience that will defy expectations and make the senses explode, with a show uniquely conceived for each occasion.

For Christmas Eve, the night of December 24, SLVJ Velázquez, located in the underground club of BLESS Hotel Madrid, has organized a magical night. A menu (from 150 €), which begins with a welcome drink and a seafood consommé and crispy shrimp crystal. Continues with the Shrimp roll with robata, avocado and tokibo roe, the Dinamita crab roll wrapped in soy leaf with truffled butter, Tuna tataki with ponzu sauce, King salmon Tiradito with fresh truffle, Butterfish in ponzu yuzu sauce with braised asparagus and to finish, the Sirloin of blond cow with robata. To sweeten the menu, Coconut tres leches, with caramelized coconut, dulce de leche whipped cream, lime and coconut ice cream. All paired with wines from the Protos and La Mateo wineries.

For New Year’s Eve, SLVJ Group will celebrate in its premises in Velázquez (320€), Barcelona (190€) and Valencia (180€), starting at 8:00 pm, a fun and elegant party, where the Black tie is the dress codewith a special menu with some of its most representative dishes, such as the Zamburiña with seafood bisque, the sashimis King salmon, O-toro and Hamachi, the Tiradito de Chu-Toro with Oscierta caviar, the Carabinero a la robata en su jugo, the King Crab Super Dinamita Roll with truffled butter, the Black Cod glazed in Japanese plum and the Wagyu a la robata. Without forgetting the sweetest part, they propose to finish with a mascarpone cheesecake. Dishes paired with white wine, red wine and champagne to start 2024 on the right foot.

BLESS Hotel Madrid

For the Christmas season, BLESS Hotel Madrid proposes menus of excellence created by chef Victor Cuevas for group dinners throughout the month of December and until mid-January, a sophisticated and elegant experience to make dreams come true. A cozy corner with exquisite Christmas decorations, including the fir tree, to feel at home next to the warmth of the fireplace.

A Christmas story on the Golden Mile that you can experience through the cocktail menu Under the mistletoe (from 68€), which can be enjoyed in the Pinzelada Lounge or in the hotel’s lounges, and the menu at the table by the fireplace (80€), consisting of a welcome cocktail and a selection of starters, main courses and desserts to enjoy seated in any of the rooms in banquet or imperial table format.

The most special nights, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, can be enjoyed at Pinzelada Lounge. Exquisite dishes by chef Victor Cuevas that can be chosen a la carte and will delight us with three dishes off the menu for each occasion.

In addition, BLESS Hotel Madrid becomes the first luxury hotel to open its doors to the public free of charge to enjoy one of its more exclusive suitestransformed into the Santa Claus house thanks to a careful decoration of El Corte Inglés. A plan to enjoy Christmas with the family where the little ones can leave their letter in the mailbox, meet Santa Claus himself and finish enjoying a delicious snack at Pinzelada Lounge with a 10% discount.

Mentidero Group

Borja Anabitarte, who studied at the hotel school in Geneva and worked with chef José Mari Arzak, is in charge of the gastronomic proposal of Grupo Mentidero. At a very young age he set up his first restaurant and today, after 20 years, he has several renowned restaurants, La Borda del Mentidero, Las Brasas and La Sal, as well as estates for weddings. All of them have organized something very special for Christmas:

La Borda del Mentidero

Inspired by the traditional bordas of the Aran Valley, La Borda del Mentidero (Ronda de la Comunicación, 5, 28050. Madrid) is the perfect restaurant for Christmas. This elegant mountain haystack with a contemporary and urban touch combines Spanish and fusion cuisine with the best homegrown produce on the coals. For December 25, January 1 and January 6, a special menu has been prepared. (75€ + VAT and drinks not included) with starters to share, Creamy Iberian ham croquettes, Tuna tartar with avocado cream, Crunchy prawns with sweet and sour sauce and Grilled artichokes with Iberian jowl; for starters, Cream of white asparagus with white truffle and for main courses to choose from, Charcoal-grilled sea bass with sautéed vegetables or Poultry with truffles and boletus sauce. For dessert, a delicious creamy cheesecake.

In addition, the little ones can enjoy a Children’s Menu (€45 + VAT with drinks), with battered hake cubes and creamy Iberian ham croquettes, mini beef burger with fries or free-range chicken fillet with tomato and cheese au gratin. Also, on December 25 and January 6, there will be children’s entertainment with the visit of Santa Claus.

Las Brasas del Mentidero

Las Brasas del Mentidero has already become a place to be in the capital. A setting inspired by the Portuguese Algarve where you can enjoy the best gastronomy. This oasis on the outskirts of Madrid brings together delicious recipes prepared with quality and seasonal products.
