Nutricosmetics broadens the concept of sun protection with a new approach to skincare

MINERVA Research Labs presents Collagen Superdose® Solar Skin, a nutricosmetic supplement developed in collaboration with pharmacist Paz Arnau Ferragut to incorporate protection from within into your daily skincare routine

Sun protection is evolving towards a broader approach that combines topical care with strategies aimed at protecting the skin against the cumulative effects of solar radiation. Against this backdrop, MINERVA Research Labs has launched Collagen Superdose® Solar Skin, a nutricosmetic supplement designed to complement conventional sunscreen through an approach that integrates external protection with care from within.

The launch responds to a growing trend in the world of beauty and wellbeing, where skincare goes beyond traditional cosmetics to incorporate solutions based on nutrition and scientific evidence. The product is based on the premise that sun cream remains an essential element, although continued exposure to ultraviolet radiation – particularly UVA rays, which are present all year round – perpetuates processes linked to oxidative stress, collagen degradation and the appearance of visible signs of photoageing.

Collagen Superdose® Solar Skin has been developed in collaboration with Paz Arnau Ferragut, a pharmacist specialising in dermopharmacy and nutricosmetics, and features a liquid formulation containing 5,000 milligrams of Peptan® hydrolysed marine collagen per dose, alongside an antioxidant complex comprising coenzyme Q10, trans-resveratrol, astaxanthin, lutein, lycopene, selenium and vitamin C, as well as other active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins D and B3, and evening primrose and borage oils. Taken together, the formula incorporates 15 active ingredients designed to work synergistically through a networked antioxidant effect.

The company positions the product within skincare routines aimed at promoting skin wellbeing, with a particular focus on preventing photoageing and caring for skin prone to hyperpigmentation. According to information provided by the laboratory, the supplement aims to support cellular protection against oxidative damage, promote skin repair and help maintain a more even skin tone as part of a holistic skincare approach.

Available in a 300-millilitre liquid format, equivalent to 30 doses, the product is recommended for daily consumption of between 10 and 20 millilitres and has been formulated to be incorporated into one’s routine throughout the year, particularly during periods of increased sun exposure.

With this launch, MINERVA Research Labs is expanding its range in the nutricosmetics segment and strengthening a category that combines functional ingredients and formulations designed for skincare, complementing topical cosmetics.
