Chaumet presents ‘Envol’, an ode to freedom in the form of fine jewellery

In 2026, the Parisian Maison will launch a capsule collection inspired by wings, movement, and historical savoir-faire, featuring versatile pieces and an unprecedented focus on Grand Feu enamel.

As part of its ongoing dialogue with nature and artisanal excellence, Chaumet presents Envol in 2026, a new High Jewellery capsule collection that explores the symbolism of wings as an expression of freedom, elegance and self-affirmation. The collection is part of a narrative that the Maison has developed over nearly 250 years, connecting the past, present and future through jewellery creation.

Inspired by historical creations from the late 19th century and recent collections such as Les Ciels de Chaumet (2019) and Un Air de Chaumet (2024), Envol invites us to raise our gaze and reach new aesthetic heights. The collection is structured around nine majestic interpretations of the winged motif, dominated by an intense blue enhanced by Grand Feu enamel and midnight-toned sapphires.

A reinterpreted legacy

Chaumet’s fascination with the world of birds dates back to its origins. Marie-Étienne Nitot and his son François-Regnault, founders of the Maison, shared Empress Josephine’s passion for ornithology, an influence that was reflected in numerous pieces from the 19th century. Since then, wings have become one of the brand’s most recognisable symbols, associated with both power and grace.

The historical archives reveal this heritage through neoclassical tiaras, gouaches and emblematic jewellery from the Belle Époque, as well as pieces commissioned by figures such as Empress Eugénie and sculptor Gertrude Payne Whitney. Envol revisits this legacy and reinterprets it with a contemporary sensibility, combining tradition and modernity.

Enamelling takes centre stage

For the first time, the Maison presents a collection made entirely of enamel, reviving a technique that has been part of its heritage for over two centuries. The masterful use of Grand Feu enamel creates intense, luminous shades of blue that interact with carefully selected diamonds and sapphires.

This technical approach reinforces the artistic character of the collection and highlights the meticulous work of the artisans at the historic workshop on Place Vendôme.

Transformable and multifunctional pieces

One of Envol’s central themes is versatility. The creations have been designed to adapt to different uses and styles, expanding the possibilities for personal expression.

Particularly noteworthy is the aigrette tiara, the result of more than 850 hours of work, which can be worn as a tiara, mask, brooch, or minimalist centerpiece. Crafted in white gold, diamonds, enamel, and Madagascar sapphire, it represents a synthesis of the Maison’s technical virtuosity.

The main necklace, with a central 10.96-carat sapphire, can be transformed into a brooch and worn in different configurations, while the jeweled watch, designed as a pendant or tabletop piece, blends function and poetry with articulated wings and a sodalite dial.

The collection is completed with asymmetrical earrings, modular rings, and brooches designed for her and for him, all designed to be combined, separated, or reinterpreted according to the occasion.

A Contemporary Vision of High Jewelry

Beyond its aesthetic value, Envol reflects Chaumet’s current vision of High Jewelry: exceptional pieces, deeply artisanal, yet open to new uses and languages. Transformation, movement, and creative freedom become the guiding threads of a proposal that dialogues with the contemporary lifestyle.

With this capsule collection, the Maison reaffirms its ability to reinvent its historical codes without renouncing its identity, once again consolidating its position as a benchmark in international luxury jewelry.

Envol is thus presented as an invitation to dream, breathe, and fly with your own wings, drawing on the excellence of expertise that spans generations.
