Menudeo, the new project of the unstoppable Romero brothers after the resounding success of Colósimo

Last March, the very nice Romero brothers surprised us with the opening of a new store right in front of Colósimo, at number sixty-eight of the exclusive Ortega y Gasset street. A different concept and much more informal, where we expect a resounding Andalusian cuisine in which the flavors gaditanoscobran an indisputable protagonism.

Ricardo and Mané Romero thus started a new professional adventure with great enthusiasm and excitement with the aim of sharing with us their passion for their profession.

As soon as we cross the threshold of Menudeo, we come across a coquettish place with beautiful aqua green walls. An ideal destination for those much enjoyed snacks. Therefore, its menu is composed of appetizing proposals that are perfect for sharing, both at its charming bar and at the pleasant tables of its cozy lounge. A cozy and relaxed space, where good times are always accompanied by tasty snacks and a seductive liquid menu that highlights its own homemade vermouth.

On our first visit to Menudeo, we began by savoring a sensational shrimp salad made with an impressive homemade shrimp mayonnaise. Soft, delicate and delicious, we fell in love with it as soon as we tried it. We continue with the delicious prey and the tasty mojama de Barbate that are ideal for those snacks that we like so much.

Menudeo’s ham croquettes are not semi-liquid, but rather liquid to the max and highly addictive, yet dangerous to eat. A sensational bite that led us to a formidable hake in American sauce that invites you to dunk and lose the forms because the room is a real spectacle.

Before moving on to dessert, we succumbed to the temptation to try their famous osso buco lasagna with Payoyo cheese béchamel. Original, light and addictive, it will make us come back to Menudeo very soon, as well as its impressive flan, which is probably one of the best we have tasted so far.

Menudeo, an elegant and fun little tavern in Madrid’s exclusive Golden Mile that infects us with that inimitable Andalusian duende. Flavors of the South and especially of Cadiz that once tasted … They tempt us to come back very soon!
