Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid is celebrating Mother’s Day with a special edition of its ‘Sunday Lunch’

The hotel will bring together fine dining, live music, floral art and crafts in an experience designed for family celebrations

On 3 May, the Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid will host a special edition of its traditional ‘Sunday Lunch’ to mark Mother’s Day, an experiential event where gastronomy, music, design and craftsmanship will take centre stage in one of the capital’s most renowned venues.

The event has been conceived as a multi-sensory experience focused on family celebration, integrating various creative disciplines and a live programme that will accompany the lunch throughout the day. The menu, designed by Quique Dacosta, the hotel’s culinary director, will be served as a buffet and can be enjoyed both in the hotel’s indoor dining rooms and on the terrace, weather permitting.

The culinary offering will include a selection of fresh and smoked seafood, Iberian cured meats, cheeses, stations serving pasta prepared to order at a cheese wheel, Asian specialities and various cuts of roast meat, as well as a selection of wines and cocktails tailored to the different booking options available for the occasion.

The experience will begin with a welcome glass of champagne and will feature live music performed by a violinist who will move around the venue throughout the event, creating an atmosphere that is integral to the celebration.

One of the central features of this edition will be the ‘Brumalis Bloom Bar’, a creative space designed for children to make their own personalised bouquets, adding a participatory and artisanal dimension to the experience.

The hotel will also once again collaborate with designer Olivier Bernoux, whose pieces—fans and clutches—will form part of the venue’s décor. The event will also feature an embroiderer working live, demonstrating to guests the artisanal process involved in creating these pieces.

With this initiative, Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid reinforces its commitment to developing experiential offerings that integrate gastronomy, art and craftsmanship, incorporating creative collaborations into the hotel’s programme and linking the Mother’s Day celebrations to a format focused on experience and attention to detail.
