IWC Schaffhausen renews its partnership with the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship as official timekeeping partner

The Swiss luxury watchmaker is participating in the tournament for the fifth consecutive year, which combines professional and amateur golf on three iconic courses in Scotland.

IWC Schaffhausen has confirmed its participation as official timekeeping partner for the 2025 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, held from 2 to 5 October in Scotland. This agreement, now in its fifth consecutive year, consolidates the brand’s relationship with one of the most prestigious tournaments on the international golf calendar.

The championship, part of the DP World Tour, is played on three world-class courses: the Old Course at St Andrews, the Championship Course at Carnoustie and Kingsbarns Golf Links. Its format combines an individual professional tournament with a team competition, in which internationally renowned amateur players share the course with elite golfers.

Participants include IWC ambassadors Laurie Canter, Louis Oosthuizen, Taichi Kho, Wilco Nienaber and Pablo Larrazábal. The presence of these professionals reinforces the brand’s visibility in an environment that values precision and reliability, qualities that are central to the Swiss firm’s philosophy.

We always look forward to returning to the home of golf, St Andrews, for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. In a game of precision and concentration, IWC continues to ensure that every second counts as the official timekeeper,’ said Franziska Gsell, Head of Marketing at IWC Schaffhausen.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, with a total prize fund of five million dollars, brings together golfers and spectators from different countries every autumn. Since 1985, Alfred Dunhill has supported golf in St Andrews, first through the Alfred Dunhill Cup and later with this championship, raising millions of dollars for charity throughout its history.

Founded in 1868 by Florentine Ariosto Jones, IWC Schaffhausen has developed a unique approach to luxury watch engineering, integrating innovative processes, advanced materials such as coloured ceramics, Ceratanium® and titanium aluminide, and a commitment to sustainability. Its Portugieser and Pilot’s Watches collections are benchmarks in design and functionality, and are produced according to principles of transparency, circularity and environmental responsibility.
