Signature sushi and cocktails under the stars: this is how August is enjoyed at Shôko restaurant

The Shôko restaurant offers a fusion of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine, accompanied by signature cocktails and live music during August evenings in Barcelona.

August nights are endless nights of exquisite dinners, exclusive evenings and endless after-dinner conversations that end with toasts to reunions, new loves, successes or because, finally, we can go on holiday. To celebrate them in Barcelona, there is no better plan than to do so at Shôko Restaurant & Lounge Club, a benchmark for Mediterranean and Oriental fusion on the seafront, enjoying the most sophisticated dinners on the Barceloneta beach promenade and with the most modern and sophisticated atmosphere.

At the helm of the kitchen is chef Paolo D’Angelo, who leads a young, dynamic and multicultural team that creates a menu that focuses on fusion and creativity, without losing the essence of traditional flavours. His speciality, sushi, is presented in an exquisite selection that includes fish and seafood sashimi, moriawase, nigiris, veggie rolls, Shôko rolls, spicy tuna roll, beef uramaki with truffle, fusion salmon and the irresistible Crispy ebi roll. A proposal that reinterprets Japanese haute cuisine with a Mediterranean soul and local products, ideal for pairing with the carefully selected signature cocktails.

Because at Shôko, the night doesn’t end with dinner: it continues at the club with international DJ sets and on the terrace, where cocktails become a sensory journey. Behind this innovative mixology concept is Yeray Monforte, an internationally renowned bartender and Patrón Perfectionists world champion, recognised for his work at Bad Company 1920 (Madrid).

Among his most notable cocktail creations are:

  • Time in Your Lips, Spain’s most expensive cocktail with Gran Patrón tequila, Cristal 2022 champagne and 24-karat gold, accompanied by oysters and caviar, served in a ceremonial vessel.
  • Signature Shôcktails: Copa América (Barcelona), El Tigre (Bangkok), El Dragón (Hong Kong), La Cobra (Mumbai), Panda, Sumo… all served in original ceramic figures.
  • More affordable combos such as Cheesecake Cosmopolitan, Pastor Margarita, Lychee Pisco Sour, Mango Caipirinha or La Cobra.

This August, the most sophisticated Japanese dinners in Barcelona will end with a toast in Barceloneta with the most exclusive signature cocktails.
