After training at the Hofmann School of Hospitality and working in various restaurants across Barcelona, chef and owner Marcos Pujadas felt the time had come to bring a long-held dream to life: to create his own space where he could express himself through cooking. In 2019, he opened the first Dos Cucharas restaurant in Sant Cugat del Vallès — a charming little venue near the town centre and just a stone’s throw from the Monastery. An intimate and elegant space, yet simple in spirit, where every detail is designed to make diners feel right at home.

In 2023, he opened his second Dos Cucharas — this time in the city of Barcelona. A larger space, yet true to the same essence: making every guest feel at home. For this new venture, he is joined by his wife, Patricia Cobas, who works alongside him, sharing the same passion and commitment. Located on Via Augusta, the new restaurant features a spectacular covered terrace overlooking a dreamy inner garden, bringing a unique sense of warmth and charm to the city.
The aim of Dos Cucharas has always been to offer soulful cuisine — food that evokes memories, where flavours, attention to detail, and the joy of sharing around the table take centre stage. Marcos Pujadas has always been clear about his vision: “I wanted a boutique restaurant where I could develop my culinary creations freely, care for each guest personally, and ensure the experience was, above all, enjoyable.”
Dos Cucharas offers a gastronomic cuisine rooted in premium ingredients, with a deep respect for tradition and a contemporary approach. They work exclusively with top-quality, seasonal, and locally sourced produce, aiming for every dish to revolve around the essence and flavour of the main ingredient — without unnecessary embellishments. Modern techniques and creative touches are incorporated, but always with the premise that the product itself must remain the star. Their culinary style is elegant, harmonious, and full of flavour.
Among the restaurant’s most iconic dishes are the Russian salad with tuna belly and a subtle hint of truffle — a classic combination elevated with premium ingredients; the potato foam with slow-cooked egg, foie and truffle — warm, velvety, and full of nuance; the pularda (young hen) cannelloni, filled with tender meat and topped with a foie and roast chicken jus, accompanied by seasonal mushrooms; and the beef fillet tartare, hand-chopped in the traditional style and served with grated foie gras on top, optionally presented over a roasted marrow bone, which adds ideal warmth and a spectacular texture.
Complementing these are fresh daily catches from the local fish market, prepared with utmost respect — because, here, they believe great ingredients need no disguises. And to end the experience on a high note, desserts such as the caramelised brioche bread pudding and the orange soufflé with Grand Marnier perfectly embody the house philosophy: tradition, technique, and a generous dose of care in every bite.

The restaurant gains even more character thanks to its stunning covered terrace overlooking a beautiful inner garden. This privileged setting makes it ideal for hosting all kinds of celebrations — from intimate weddings and communions to anniversaries and private events. The versatility of the space, combined with the excellence of the cuisine and the personalised service, makes Dos Cucharas the perfect choice for those seeking more than just a restaurant: a complete experience.
