Every Friday night, starting at 11:30 PM, the charismatic artist with Sevillian roots, Isabel Luna, awaits us at La Giralda to enhance dinner with her formidable flamenco show.
The cosy restaurant owned by Almería native Carmelo Espinosa, who, after leaving behind his frustrated dream of becoming a novice bullfighter, devoted himself wholeheartedly to the challenging world of hospitality, discovering a new profession in which he finds joy every day, as if it were his first.
Currently at La Giralda, working hand in hand with Carmelo, are his four children: María, Germán, Paco, and Carmelo. Additionally, they always have the unwavering support of his wife. It’s a charming family-run restaurant with an Andalusian aesthetic, where memories of the years when Carmelo dabbled in the world of bullfighting are ever-present. Upon arrival, we are greeted by an eye-catching display case where Carmelo’s traje de luces (bullfighter’s suit), his cape, and some nostalgic mementos from that stage of his life are majestically exhibited, a time he fondly remembers.
The menu at La Giralda offers a tempting and extensive selection of delicious dishes from the finest Andalusian cuisine, always led by their famous fried dishes, among the best in Madrid, which continue to win over devoted fans. These delightful recipes can be enjoyed more casually at the high tables near the entrance or in the elegant main dining room when we have more time. Additionally, the restaurant offers several private rooms, perfect for hosting any type of event or for when we prefer a quiet, private space.
