The renowned Portuguese artist Pedro Sousa Louro is set to showcase his latest works at the prestigious FLUX Exhibition in London.
With a career spanning over three decades since his arrival in the UK, where he graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design in 1997 and furthered his studies at Kensington and Chelsea Art College, Sousa Louro has made a distinctive mark in the field of contemporary art through his ability to merge cubism and abstract expressionism.
Inspired by figures such as Francis Bacon, Ben Nicholson, and Mondrian’s neoplasticism, his work is distinguished by a bold interplay of vibrant colours and enigmatic geometries. The influence of cubism, particularly Nicholson’s, has profoundly shaped his artistic development, while techniques like Pollock’s “dripping” and Rothko’s composition enrich his unique style.
