Casa Felisa awaits us at number fifteen on the Madrid street of Beneficencia, in the central district, to immerse ourselves fully in that cuisine of a lifetime that evokes cherished memories. Creations that pay homage to Madrid’s gastronomy, prominently featuring their emblematic cocido, although during this time of year it is complemented by other delicious dishes from their menu. A proposal focused on the finest seasonal products, where their iconic vermouth is always a must, undoubtedly one of Madrid’s best.

Casa Felisa is the perfect destination to enjoy the aperitif moment, a cherished tradition that we adore, but also to fully explore their menu during a delightful lunch or charming dinner, in a setting that is exceptionally cozy.
Located in the wonderful neighborhood of Salesas, its interior designed by the Antonio Obrador studio immerses us in a very “castizo” aesthetic with that unmistakable and very Madrilenian “chulapo” spirit. Its striking velvet curtains share the spotlight with beautiful fabric-covered walls adorned with exquisite Gustavian paintings, lending considerable character to the venue. A charming space decorated in shades of red, black, and yellow, always welcoming us with wide-open doors to delight in an irresistible collection of traditional dishes, allowing us to savor our beloved Madrid with every bite.

During our visit to Casa Felisa, we started by savoring their delicious artisan vermouth, accompanied by an original “ensaladilla” crowned with irresistible “tortillitas de camarones”. This unique combination worked wonders and led us to enjoy playful “patatas soufflé” with bravas sauce, sharing the spotlight with tasty “gambas Orly” served with exquisite lime mayonnaise. Three outstanding starters paved the way to a daring grilled octopus with curry-roasted tomatoes and creamy carrot purée—a recipe with a sweet and exotic touch, offering a unique twist on grilled octopus. We also tried a robust matured beef sirloin with roasted fennel, parmentier, and Bordelaise sauce—a canonical dish that we enjoyed from start to finish before indulging in the sweet moment of dessert.

We concluded with a delicate lemon tart with puff pastry and toasted meringue—a dessert that was light and digestible, sweet but not cloying, bidding us farewell in the best possible way.
Casa Felisa is a must-visit in the beautiful Salesas neighborhood, where you can savor robust homemade cuisine deeply rooted in Madrid’s culinary tradition, never failing to impress. Traditional dishes that truly embody the essence of Spanish dining. Long live Spain and its culinary delights!
