Bentley Motors has extended its range of bespoke exterior satin paint finishes to a total of 15 unique colour options. The expanded range offers a wide variety of options, from classic, understated shades to bolder, more contemporary colours.
Each satin-finished Bentley takes up to 55 hours to paint and is hand-finished by Bentley craftsmen at the Excellence Centre for Bespoke Paint.. The car arrives first in its gloss colour, before being hand sanded, cleaned, masked, dusted and cleaned again before a two-stage clear lacquer is applied by hand to achieve a perfect, uniform satin finish.
As with all Bentley vehicles, each car is inspected and reviewed by an independent Production Quality Team to ensure that every surface of every panel will exceed customer expectations. In future, all satin paints will be applied to Bentley cars at its new state-of-the-art paint shop, due for completion in 2025.
Satin paint finishes are unique in the way they interact with light particles, scattering them across the surface of the vehicle rather than reflecting them as gloss finishes do.
The full list of satin paint options includes: Anthracite Satin, Royal Ebony Satin, Storm Grey Satin, Light Sappire Satin, Sequin Blue Satin, Topaz Blue Satin, Orange Flame Satin, Alpine Green Satin, British Racing Green Satin, Candy Red Satin, Cricket Ball Satin, Extreme Silver Satin, Light Grey Satin, Arctica Satin and Old English White Satin.
The new finishes can be applied to the brand’s current range of products.
