The Diamond Awards for Excellence were presented at a ceremony held at the prestigious and exclusive Club Financiero Génova in Madrid.
The “Diamond of Excellence” awards ceremony was presented by H.R.H. Princess Béatriced’Orléans, honorary president of the Spanish Luxury Association – Luxury Spain. This is an award given by our organization as a distinction to companies, institutions and public personalities that stand out for their talent, quality and prestige,” says d’Orléans, president-founder of the organization.
The event was welcomed by Mrs. Dña. Cristina Martín Blasi, Executive President of the Spanish Luxury Association and the intervention of the Hon. Mrs. Dña. Almudena Maíllo, Councilor of Tourism of the Madrid City Council.
With the presence of Excmo. Mr. Don. Pablo Garde – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.
Top executives from brands such as Rosewood, Cartier, Chanel, American Express, Pertegaz, Porsche, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Palladium Hotel Group, Ze García, Adecco Group, Google, TikTok, Diageo, Fundación Miró, Pictet, among others, were present. Guests have also been invited from the business and social spheres.
The awardees were as follows:
Diamond of Excellence to the Destination: Excma. Mrs. Dña. Almudena Maíllo: Councilor of Tourism of the Madrid City Council, awarded for her great effort and involvement in positioning Madrid as a luxury destination in the world.
Diamond of Excellence to Culture: Mrs. Dña. Ana De La Cueva: President of Patrimonio Nacional, recognized for her successful career, for the values she shares with the entity, as well as her great work to defend and protect the National Heritage and the culture of our country.
Diamond of Excellence to the Institution: Sr. D. Miguel Sanz: General Director of Turespaña, awarded for his great effort and involvement in positioning Spain as one of the main tourist destinations in the world and for supporting sustainable and quality tourism.
Diamond of Excellence in Tourism: Sr. D. Ramón Aragonés: CEO NH Hotel Group, recognized for his successful career and professional commitment, also for the great international expansion of NH Hotel Group and commitment to quality tourism and excellence.
Diamond of Excellence for Digitalization: Mrs. Dña. Irene Cano: General Manager at Meta, awarded for positioning itself as the leading social media platform in the global luxury market, with its immediacy and creativity. And for its brilliant commitment to the new generations in the digital sector.
Lifestyle Diamond of Excellence: Mrs. Dña. Ione Astondoa: Owner and COO of Astilleros Astondoa, awarded for being the world’s leading Spanish shipyard, after four generations and 100 years, they continue to focus on technology, design and innovation combined with passion and commitment.
Fashion Diamond of Excellence: Mrs. Dña. Vicky Martín Berrocal: Founder of Victoria, recognized as a businesswoman, actress, collaborator, television presenter, and above all for her great facet as a fashion designer, taking her designs to the whole world with her firm Victoria representing the Spanish Brand.
Diamond of Excellence in Gastronomy: Sr. D. Jordi Cruz: Chef and Founder of ABaC Restaurant, recognized with 6 Michelin stars. He was the youngest chef in Spain to receive this distinction and the second in the world. A reference in avant-garde cuisine and bring Spanish gastronomy to the top.
