Chanel captivated Paris with the presentation of its latest Fall-Winter 2024/25 Haute Couture collection at the iconic Palais Garnier, an event that blended the venue’s grandeur with the exquisite craftsmanship characteristic of the Maison.
The runway showcased timeless elegance with a modern twist, opening with a dazzling centerpiece: a long navy taffeta cape with a gathered neckline adorned with ruffles, setting the tone for the evening. Beneath this cape, a cream wool jersey bodice meticulously embroidered with bead tassels and gathered braids added sophistication. Matching shorts, equally detailed with braid embroideries, completed the look, reinforcing Chanel’s narrative of effortless luxury.
The strategic choice of Palais Garnier as the venue not only provided a stunning backdrop but also underscored Chanel’s affinity for creativity and excellence, reflected in their collaboration with the Paris National Opera. Photographs by Karim Sadli captured the unique beauty of each design, offering an artistic and detailed preview of the collection.
Directed by the Fashion Creation Studio, the collection revisited the world of opera with feathers, precious braids, flexible tweeds, silky velvet, illusion tulle, taffeta, and duchesse satin. The theatrical presentation, conceived by playwright Christophe Honoré, offered a new way to experience opera, transforming the halls of Palais Garnier into a stage of fashion and art.
Ambassadors and friends of the House, including personalities like Keira Knightley, Naomi Campbell, and Michelle Williams, gathered on June 25 to witness the show.
CHANEL’s Fall-Winter 2024/25 Haute Couture collection not only underscores a sense of pomp and sophistication but also sets a new standard in merging craftsmanship tradition with contemporary vision, solidifying its position as a leader in the world of luxury design.
