Jean-Paul Gaultier’s Haute Couture show aroused expectation, his collaboration with designer Haider Ackerman surprised from the beginning because of the difference between both of them. The Paris Haute Couture week has witnessed this union that has been called a “love letter” from Ackerman to the brand.
Unlike other collections presented in recent years, we can see that Ackerman bets for a more sober world , without leaving aside the colors and extravagance that we are used to when we think of the French firm.
In the collection called “reinterpreting her universe”, as it has been presented to the press, two-piece ensembles, maxi dresses, some with vertiginous openings and palazzo pants are the protagonists.
There are also elements that take us back to Gaultier’s transgressive image, with feathers, irregular cuts, large volumes and bright colors such as yellow, orange, blue or green. Although in the same way, we have been able to see a more sober image with looks in which black and white stood out.
Among the attendees was Jean-Paul Gaultier himself and as a Spanish touch one of his undisputed muses, Rossy de Palma.
