On Saturday, 21st September, the exclusive Portrait Milano became the perfect setting for an event that blended fashion, luxury, and glamour. In an unforgettable evening, Marco Gobbetti and Maximilian Davis gathered a select group of celebrities and high-society figures to celebrate the much-anticipated Spring/Summer 2025 runway show.
Among the distinguished attendees were Alexander Roth, Amelie Gassman, and Aron Piper. The celebration also included prominent figures such as Carlo Sestini, Chiara King, and Dixie D’Amelio. Additionally, the event featured iconic international personalities like Doona Bae, Fiona Zanetti, and Francesca Hayward.
The evening also served as the occasion to unveil the campaign “Three Days in Florence,” shot by Juergen Teller. The images were displayed along the open gallery on the second floor of the Portrait Milano, creating an evocative exhibition that captured the spirit of a New Renaissance and Florence. The photographs transformed the space into a compelling showcase, paying homage to the rich artistic heritage of Florence.
Teller’s work, characterised by unique authenticity and integrity, found the ideal stage at Portrait Milano to bring Maximilian Davis’s vision to life.
To celebrate the new season, Ferragamo returns to its roots in Florence, situating the season’s vision within the context of its past. The reality of the city—of lives unfolding in its historic surroundings—is experienced through Juergen Teller’s lens, an artist renowned for his unique perspective on modernity. “There’s a sense of connection with the frankness of his work,” explains Maximilian Davis. “In the time we live in, that’s what people seek; I’m interested in observing real people in Florence and how they wear Ferragamo.”
The combination of irony, realism, and sincerity is what led Marco Gobbetti and Maximilian Davis to choose Teller to capture the essence of Florence in the Salvatore Ferragamo Autumn-Winter campaign “Three Days in Florence,” featuring a series of images that evoke Italian film noir.
Through Teller’s lens, Florence becomes a cinematic backdrop, uniting the worlds of Hollywood and Florence, both of which held great significance for Ferragamo. Born in Bonito, a small town in southern Italy, in 1898, Ferragamo emigrated to the United States and became famous in Hollywood. However, it was Florence—a city he discovered in 1927—that captured his heart, representing the essence of Italian culture, art, and craftsmanship.
In the “Three Days in Florence” campaign, Davis and Teller brought together a cast that embodies the spirit of a New Renaissance. Supermodels like Raquel Zimmermann and Lina Zhang, Somali activist Yasmin Warsame, and French academic Maia Tellit Hawad joined German model Tim Schuhmacher and music industry icon and art director Peter Saville to bring this vision to life. The reality of the city—of lives lived—intertwines with the Renaissance spirit.
The historical setting comes alive through Teller’s unique perspective on modernity. “There’s a connection to the authenticity of his work,” comments Maximilian Davis. “In the time we live in, that’s what people seek, and I’m interested in seeing real people in Florence and how they wear Ferragamo.”
