Located at number forty-one on Madrid’s Calle Velázquez, this striking restaurant combines the best of the flavours of the sea with the lively soul of Mexico, offering us a unique gastronomic experience on every visit.
Since its triumphant arrival in our country, Fisher’s has managed to conquer the Madrid public with its appetising culinary proposal and its spectacular premises designed by Madrid in Love. A striking space, where the small details are the main protagonists, making the atmosphere extremely welcoming and pleasant. In this way, Fisher’s becomes the perfect destination for any occasion, as we can enjoy it at any time of the day, thanks to its uninterrupted opening hours.
With more than three decades of experience, which began in a modest establishment in Naucalpan, Mexico, the restaurant has become a reference in its country of origin, thanks to its formidable concept where tradition and innovation converge, and now we can also enjoy it in Madrid.
Its irresistible brunch, available on Saturday and Sunday mornings, is made up of a menu full of aromas, flavours and nuances from the other side of the pond, which includes options for all tastes.
We began by trying their now famous seafood consommé, accompanied by homemade tortilla chips and the iconic Fisher’s sauce, slightly spicy, which led us to an exquisite prawn cocktail prepared with tomato sauce, prepared in-house with onion, avocado, coriander and a touch of sherry. A formidable start, which gave way to a delicious aguachile served in a wheat tortilla with potatoes and guacamole. A delicious starter that is ideal for sharing and which led to a spectacular octopus tostada that we fell in love with from the first bite. An impressive morsel served on a charcoal-baked corn tortilla with lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato, onion, cream and beans. A must-try at Fisher’s that led us to the main courses.
We opted first for some fabulous seafood chilaquiles. Irresistible totopos served in an earthenware casserole, bathed in tomatillo sauce with cheese, cream and red onion. A tasty dish that shared the limelight with some hearty enfrijoladas. A delicious corn tortilla, stuffed with grilled cheese, bathed in bean sauce with cream, grilled cheese and red onion. A real spectacle, which heralded the arrival of the final sweet. In this case, we ordered some striking classic hot cakes with red berries, vanilla ice cream and cream cheese. The perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable brunch with a taste of Mexico.
