Located at number four on Madrid’s Paseo de la Castellana, in one of the most exclusive areas of the capital, in the impressive premises formerly occupied by the restaurant Sinsombrero, Chambao is a highly versatile space. At lunchtime it is the perfect destination for those quiet business lunches, while at night its lively atmosphere makes it the epicentre of Madrid’s nightlife. As soon as we arrive at Chambao, our attention is drawn to its emblematic sofa, which is perfect for those memorable photos. A beautiful photocall-like corner that shares the limelight with its exclusive clothing boutique and a spacious main lounge with impressive Caribbean décor.
Behind Chambao is the renowned Mexican group Rosa Negra which, after opening more than thirty venues throughout Mexico, landed in the capital just over a year ago to begin its expansion in our country.
Our evening at Chambao began with some original langoustine tacos with spicy Biscayan sauce, which we enjoyed eating with our hands as if we were on the marvellous beaches of Tulum. After savouring them from start to finish, we continued with a spectacular giant Senegalese shrimp with chipotle cream that landed on the table with a striking presentation on a huge wooden board that invites to be photographed.
Being a steak house, we couldn’t miss out on their famous meats and in this case we opted for a delicious grilled sirloin steak with grilled asparagus garnish. A perfect, healthy and tasty option, which led us to an impressive chocolate-covered dulce de leche ice-cream volcano that will delight the sweet-toothed.
Chambao, the Madrid-based restaurant of the Rosa Negra Group, conquers us with an eye-catching interior design project where exoticism and elegance come together. A beautiful place that takes us into its seductive and extensive menu starring its famous cuts of meat and other appetising dishes that are up to the most demanding palates.
