The Italian brand has been in charge of closing the second day of Haute Couture that began in style with the Chanel fashion show. This season the inspiration for the fashion show was harlequins and that is why the catwalk had these motifs, covering the length of the runway with rhombuses in peony pink, turquoise, emerald green and royal blue.
Giorgio Armani‘s obsession with sequins was also present this season, with crisp jackets, fitted skirts and slinky dresses that shimmered and sparkled. These looks mixed the harlequin print that covered the runway with black and white, creating a necessary contrast.
In addition to the diamond pattern, also making reference to the harlequin, which, as we mentioned earlier, has been the inspirationof the show featured Pierrot-style ruffled collars, headdresses andballoon pants that are more daring and extravagant than the long-sleeved papillon dresses that we also saw during the show.
Among the notable attendees, Armani had Michelle Yeoh in attendance, on the same day that the 2023 Oscar nominees were announced and we learned that she has made history, being the first Asian woman to be nominated for Best Actress.
