Following its recent launch, the firm ALIA Made in Architecture, headed by Andrés Cajiga and Antonio de Juan, has announced its first project at FITUR: Playa Jackson, a development located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. The project, owned by entrepreneurs Jorge Macarí and David Chipón, proposes a model that combines natural surroundings, historical heritage and high-end residential offerings.
Natural jewel with a unique history
Playa Jackson, located in the Samaná region on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, is renowned for its crystal clear waters, golden sandy beaches and tropical vegetation. In addition to its natural attraction, the area has a historical legacy linked to Christopher Columbus’ expedition to the New World. Jackson Beach is presented as a destination that combines natural wealth with a significant historical past, offering a balance between adventure and tranquillity.
The project will include two of the most prestigious global hotel brands: The Ritz-Carlton and St Regis, raising the standard of luxury in the region and integrating harmoniously with the natural surroundings.
With this project, ALIA consolidates its vision of creating destinations that go beyond structural design. Andrés Cajiga said that “Jackson Beach is a perfect example of how architecture can amplify the essence of a place. Our goal is that each space is not only functional, but also evokes emotions and tells a story.”
Antonio de Juan said, “The union of The Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis brands represents an unprecedented milestone in the industry. This challenge demands excellence, and ALIA must live up to that expectation, leading with quality, innovation and vision“.
The Jackson Beach project reflects ALIA’s commitment to sustainability, prioritising the minimisation of environmental impact and the optimisation of the guest experience. This development aspires to become a reference model for future projects in high-value natural destinations.
