In a home in Puerta de Hierro, an ultra-matt burgundy kitchen becomes the place where a family comes together every day. A project by Moretti in which design decisions grow out of the way the space is lived in.

Some rooms bring everyone together without anyone having to call, spaces that feel utterly familiar yet play such an important part in our lives. All it takes is for someone to start preparing a meal, open a laptop or sit down for a moment, and little by little, the home finds its centre there. The kitchen has that ability to welcome both the planned and the spontaneous: breakfast, an unfinished task, a conversation that lingers while the table is cleared.

In Adrián’s apartment in Puerta de Hierro, this shared way of life was the starting point for the project. The kitchen needed to keep pace with a family with three daughters and make room for the many things that happen around mealtimes. Moretti brought this idea to life through a practical layout and a choice of finishes that gives the home its character.
