Longchamp is celebrating its collaboration with Jeremy Scott in New York, a creative partnership that began in 2006 and has evolved over two decades around the reinterpretation of the Le Pliage bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Maison recently took part in Hidden Treasure, the exhibition organised by the Comit\u00e9 Colbert at The Shed, to mark the 250th anniversary of Franco-American friendship. The exhibition, held from 26 to 31 May, brought together pieces from 68 French maisons and highlighted the cultural and creative ties between France and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this exhibition, Longchamp chose to highlight its relationship with Jeremy Scott, which began to mark the opening of the brand\u2019s store in New York\u2019s SoHo. On that occasion, the designer created a limited-edition luggage line entitled This is not your Bag, launching a collaboration centred on the dialogue between the American designer\u2019s graphic universe and one of the French house\u2019s icons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since then, Longchamp and Jeremy Scott have developed more than 25 designs, in which travel, pop culture, visual humour and graphic experimentation have served as the starting point for new versions of Le Pliage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The piece selected by Longchamp for the Comit\u00e9 Colbert exhibition was Le Pliage \u201cGreetings from Paris\u201d, launched in 2014 to mark the opening of the brand\u2019s boutique on the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es. The bag was displayed against a backdrop featuring various designs co-created by the Maison and Jeremy Scott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The celebration continues at La Maison Unique, Longchamp\u2019s flagship store in New York, located in SoHo. Until 14 June, the boutique is hosting a retrospective dedicated to this collaboration, featuring a selection of models that trace the evolution of the creative project, including Greetings from Paris, Greetings from Hollywood and Greetings from Paradise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To mark the anniversary, Longchamp and Jeremy Scott have also unveiled a new limited edition: Le Pliage \u201cGreetings from New York\u201d. The design transforms the bag into a postcard dedicated to the city, featuring a depiction of the Manhattan skyline and a handwritten message on the reverse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
