Last March, Cassia Restaurant opened its doors in the Cervantine city. This new venue in the heart of Alcal\u00e1 de Henares offers an enticing gastronomic experience personally crafted by its chef and manager, Jes\u00fas G\u00f3mez, designed to surprise us with each visit. Familiar flavours in reimagined dishes where tradition and innovation blend harmoniously, form an appealing menu with options to suit all tastes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its creator, the charming Jes\u00fas G\u00f3mez, a chef by profession and an entrepreneur at heart, has quickly won the warm affection of the Alcal\u00e1 public. We must admit that the dishes coming out of Cassia\u2019s kitchen are truly spectacular. An honest and high-quality culinary offering, always starting with the best ingredients, surprisingly translates into a menu with reasonable prices. Something that is certainly appreciated in these times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During our visit to Cassia, we started with an original and sensational smoked Russian salad that was a true spectacle. Delicate and delicious, it led us to a subtle sea bass ceviche with tiger’s milk and ajo blanco. A mild recipe that omits the usual spicy kick but is remarkably balanced and pleasant on the palate. We then enjoyed robust beef cheek dumplings with red wine and Pedro Xim\u00e9nez reduction, a fantastic explosion of flavour. This delightful morsel was followed by one of their star dishes, hake with leek cream, potatoes, and mint oil, which is an absolute delicacy. Highly recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
